Research
Researching into Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. A few versions of this have been done so I decided to set mine in the Theatre as I'm using Wicked the musical as part of my inspiration.
Used Wicked for the colour palette and to connect the characters to the Frankenstein Characters.
Chose not to go down the women's wear route this time as I haven't done anything with the Men's yet so I wanted to challenge myself with something new.

Final Lineup
Did a character development for Robert's character. I started off with having the designs in no colour and then photo copying them to add colour. I chose the ones I liked the best and would represent his character.
Justine looks as smart as Elizabeth as she is part of the family and not treated like a servant. Justine has the most tragedy in the story so I wanted her colour palette to reflect that and her death could still be visible during the performance.
Henry was also another pawn like Justine and Elizabeth. His colour palette represents his character and he should have been a little more aware of what Victor was doing considering he was Victor's best friend. Maybe if Henry had known about Victor's creation sooner then everything would have been different.

Final Design
Did a character breakdown for Victor to show the type of clothing that he is wearing underneath the red velvet jacket. As I only wanted to make a two piece suit the underneath was styled.
The final design board has the working drawing of the jacket and the trousers only as these were the garments that I made. I added the fabric samples I used for the garments so that I could show what it was made out of.

Photoshoot
Creative Realisation was a project that was focused on a tailored Jacket and Trousers along with tailoring techniques such as basting and cross stitches. I chose to create the garments for men's wear as my final garment was for Victor Frankenstein. I also chose to go down this route as men's wear was something I haven't done before and challenged me to learn something new such as and working with a red velvet fabric which was a fabric I haven't worked with before.
I enjoyed the tailoring project overall as I got to fit my red velvet jacket and trousers to my models body measurements. I also learnt how to work with the velvet fabric such as making sure that the grain was the right way and that you can't iron it without ruining it so it had to be steamed. Though the stitching techniques took a while I feel that I can use these techniques in the furture for more delicate and slippery fabrics.
